Feeling verrrry faint...

I am very early in my baby-growing...I have been experiencing nausea and fatigue but this morning I woke up suuuuuuuper lightheaded and shaky.

I got out of bed this morning to get some tea and had to sit down on the floor in the kitchen so I wouldn't lose my balance!

My mother says she fainted all the time in her pregnancies. I am so scared to even get out of bed! I have to hop in the shower and get to work but I'm afraid to pass out in the shower or something!

*sigh* I hope this is just a simple (but scary) pregnancy symptom and not something dangerous like low blood pressure or something...

Anyone else have this symptom?

Try putting crackers next to your bed.  Before you even sit up to step out out bed, snack on a few crackers.  This help with my nausea and might help with your dizziness

Between about 9 and 16 weeks, I had dizzy spells in the morning. I think it was related to my blood sugar adjusting. I was like you - kind of scared to get in the shower and I was also nervous to drive. I just made sure that I ate a NutriGrain bar and drank a glass of juice when I got up. I am now 21 weeks and it's much better now.

Make sure you're keeping yourself more hydrated than you think is humanly possible.  Also, the crackers by the bed is a good suggestion.

Thank you for the suggestions! I called my doctor just to let them know (had to leave a message), and I did some research online, I was feeling hot when I got so lightheaded and when I ate a yogurt I felt a lot better.

I am drinking so much water and herbal tea it's crazy, so I'm pretty sure it's not dehydration.

From now on I will keep a snack by my bed just in case.

I was making dinner with DH and I felt this way last night. It's usually my body telling me I need more H20 though.

Definitely eat and stay hydrated but if you start to see spots or get headaches along with the dizziness make sure you call your doctor ASAP - it could be pre-e.

I fainted with my DD around 5 weeks. My doctor said eat a couple of crackers and drink apple juice before getting out of bed.

I have been having huge issues with this. I will feel very faint in the shower at least once a week. I will have it throughout the day. I drink water and eat a granola bar before getting in the shower on my work days. On my days off I will eat and drink quite a bit before I get in the shower, and it seems to still happen. The Dr. said that it was low blood sugar and it takes 45 minutes after you eat to regulate, but even if I wait an hour, I still feel faint. I am getting really frustrated with this. It has been happening since about week 6. Is there anything else that can cause it?!

Is it possible it's the heat of the shower and standing for too long? I did research on other sites etc. and I kept reading over and over again that pregnant women would faint when standing in line for too long and were feeling hot. That is exactly how I felt this morning when it happened to me, I got very hot and stood up too fast.

It doesn't sound very appealing, but maybe don't take such long hot showers, if that is what you tend to do (which is what every normal human does).

Also, my doctor told me to eat more protein and less sugar to get rid of the fainty feelings.
