How do you cope?

I don't know if I'm the only one, but now that DH and I are TTC I notice pregnant people and babies a lot more. My sister just found out that she is pregnant with her sixth! Yay! And one of my best friends just found out she's pregnant, too! Double yay!!! Another friend is due to have her first in 3 days, and now my sister in law is pregnant again, too! So many more kiddos I'll get to spoil in the next year! :D 

I'm so excited for everyone's pregnancies, but sometimes it's a bummer when it's not you.

I just try to focus on my joy for them and realizing that I really haven't been trying long, so not only is it not fair for me to feel any frustration, but TTC can take time.

So, how do you cope? =]

TTC#2 Since July 2011
Me: 29, had two blocked tubes - left was cleared during lap&dye, right was unable to be cleared. PCOS & Stage 2 Endo. DH: 31, SA = perfect.
CLOMID: 4 rounds, 50mg + TI = BFN's.
FEMARA: 1 round = no response.
12-24-2012 : Laparoscopy, Softball sized cyst/endo/scar tissue removed.
Cycle #14 - Feb 2013 : 50mg clomid. Ovidrel Trigger. IUI on 2/14/13 = thin lining, multiple cysts.
Cycle #15 - no meds, still have cysts, no follicles. Boo!
Forced break. Continuous BCP for 6 weeks to give my jacked up ovaries a break.
Cycle #16 actively trying: May/June plan: Femara, Ovidrel Trigger, IUI! Bring iiiiit!

I try to stay busy, to be honest. Also, I just try to stay positive, which can get difficult. However, there really isn't anything you can do. 

Sorry I'm not more inspirational.

I definitely know how you feel...I know at least 5 pregnant women right now (and one is a friend that I made in my childbirth class when I was pregnant with DD!). I am truly happy for all of them, but it is hard sometimes when I want to be right there with them. I've been trying to relax in the evenings...reading more, knitting DD a sweater, etc. And once CD 1 comes around I make DH take me out for a date night where I can drink large amounts of wine. :) Do something nice for yourself....get a massage, mani/pedi, whatever....treating yourself can do wonders for your mood!

Yes. I think it can be a hobby or it can even be a sport depending on where, when, why, how and who with!

And dgaroo that sh!t is hilarious. I do that too if it's someone I'm not really particular about.

I also love to do that with my Greek salads and feta cheese too/ sushi at work.

Some times its harder for me than other times....We went to Disney for the day last week, and I kept seeing cute kids and babies, and my biological clock kicked into overdrive....Nothing I can do but try for own, and keep hoping and praying

Honestly, I don't always cope very well. I just try to be happy for the people I care about and I do a lot of positive self-talk. It's hard. The sooner you can figure out how to pick yourself up when you're feeling low about all of this, the better off you'll be. This board has been a huge help for me, as has opening up about TTC to some very select friends. It's great to have a few people really, really rooting for me - one of my friends just had a baby, the other is recently pregnant, and a third has been TTC longer than I have. It's nice to have all three perspectives from people who truly love me.
I promise to never forget that this little dude deserves just as much love after the baby comes as he has now.

I have days that I don't cope really well. I just try not to think about it too much and try to keep busy with other stuff.

I am in the same boat - everyone is literally pregnant around me and it's so hard to stay positive when everyone else is either pregnant or has a kid already. My DH actually does quite a bit to calm me down and just remind me that there's only so much we can do. Found out last Thursday that another friend is pregnant and had a crying/sobbing breakdown to DH.

Spending time with my daughter is one of the things that I do to cope. I just have to remember that I am lucky to have her, she is 10 and the only child I have TTC #2. All of my friends have had 2 or 3  kids since I had her and when they were all pregnant I was insanely jealous of them and wanted so badly to have one too(the dh had his priorities).

 Try and find some kind of hobby or maybe read a great book and take a long hot bath to try and relax and just forget that everyone else is prego. You will have your day =) GL!

there is such thing as pelvic floor physical therapy.  I have seen anything ranging from stretching to vaginal muscle massage.  A lot of women will do this is they have pain and issues after delivery/pregnancy or vaginismus.

In my head, their therapy incorporated the use of benwa balls, size growing vag plugs. You know, maybe repurposed butt plugs for stretching? And to seal the deal and let her know she is officially ready to start TTC, she graduated to fisting.

Someone else pointed out knitting - I knitted alot leading up to TTC DS and while TTC.  I knit baby stuff - which helped me focus the baby obsession - plus as an added bonus I had booties and hats for my friends and family who had LO's before me and I had stuff ready for DS.

You know people will tell you calm down - but it is hard.  I was happy for other people but I wanted my own.

Drinking is good, a small hobby is good..... whatever works for you
