I've been asked, by all sides of the family, to provide Christmas lists that are baby-stuff free. It's driving me crazy, because we do pollyanna with both my family and DH's family, and the gift limit is $35-$50. Honestly, if I want something that costs that much, I just buy if myself.
I need baby stuff (this is our first), but I'm not allowed to ask for it. I really need a new camera and new cookware, but that stuff is too expensive to put on the list. And you get a major attitude if you put gift cards on the list.
DH told my FIL a couple years ago to get me a crockpot, which I did need, but the one he got was useless. I work long hours and really need one that has a delay timer and warm setting, and he got me one that has two settings. On and off. It burns everything.
I would honestly prefer a Christmas season where we only buy for the little kids. Then DH and I could buy the things we need, but that are too expensive to ask for.
