5 cm and contractions stopped :/

Totally bummed. I'm 36 weeks and I know my baby could use some extra time in there but geez really 5cm with contractions a minute and a half apart and then bam stopped. This isn't my first baby. They've all came early and labor for me was always super fast. This one on the other hand I guess is trying to make a grand entrance or didn't like the 4th for a birthday lol. Anyway back home from the hospital waiting for things to pick up again. booooo

This is GOOD!  Give the lungs more time to develop, and hopefully a shorter labor when he/she comes.  You've still got almost 4 weeks to the due date - plenty of time to come early still.

I had a friend who walked around for weeks at 5 cm. At this point though you could always try some sex to get them going again.

I understand why you're frustrated (sort of, never got to labor like this on my own) but remember every day or week a baby is born early usually means a longer stay in the hospital later. Hope you get a couple more weeks and no more contractions until the real deal!
