When my aunt told me my response was "O (blank stare)" till she finally started laughing and said people are already calling her Leigh.

That's a shame.

I hold my breath whenever my cousins have babies, I'm always ready for that doozy.  One of them (who I haven't seen since he was maybe 12) has a daughter named Jourdyn - that's the worst of the bunch.

That's a name of a character in a book I read as a child. I liked the name when I read it but I was close to 11 and even then wouldn't have named an actual baby that name.

Sadly, as PP stated, that is not so uncommon.  I know two of them, one was an old neighbor's kid who is about 17 now and then a little girl at my son's old preschool class who is probably about 4 or 5 now.

I work with a woman with this exact name, and she uses her middle name quite often.  Not the most professional sounding name.
