Agreed! People frequently do XPs to invite others to watch drama unfolding somewhere, and those posters don't get flamed. I don't see this as different - and it might be less drama-producing, since there's nothing currently going on, just a request for updated activity.
That said I have no info to help the OP - don't recognize those names.
