I Researched all 3 extensively and loved the boba 3G carrier ...

The ergo needed an infant insert which I did not want as a separate item; and the ergo is also not as tall as the boba hence no fear of a toddler "jumping out" of the boba!

I wanted be carrier for infant to toddler and feel the boba is it!

I like the beco Gemini, but the boba 3G is also great.  The Gemini fit me better, I'm 5'2".

Have you used it yet? I've heard bad reviews re the infant stage and when they are legs out it's too wide until they are 6 months unless you have a huge baby.

Loving my ergo.  Baby jumping out of it, pp? Give me a break! (Eye roll)

I never bothered with an infant insert as did was born in summer and we live in a very hot climate. I rolled a blanket and put it under her bottom for a few weeks.

we have the Beco Butterfly. I didnt like the looks of the Ergo, and also didnt like that you needed the extra insert for the newborn.

I liked the idea of the Boba, but a) heard lots of people saying it dug in under their arms and b) there was nowhere I could try before I bought it, so that kinda swayed me away.

I tried the Beco Gemini and the Butterfly on in the store, and the Butterfly just seemed nicer - it was thinner material on the body of it, which I liked so it wouldnt' be as hot. And I didnt think we'd use the extra carries the Gemini offered (hip and front facing out) enough. Sooo the Butterfly it was! Love it!

This exactly!

Eta - even as a preemie my son loved to push up and try to stand. He never "jumped out" but I'm glad it was tall so I never worried about if he did try to push up. I'm a FTM and had a baby with a VERY weak neck due to being premature so I was grateful that it was higher.

Love our ergo performance. At 8 mos and 90 height dd still sits way down inside so no worries here on that. Didn't look at Boba. Didn't like Beco clips. I'd go to a boutique and try them out and decide what works for you.

I like the Ergo best b/c of the way it fits me... I am short with a short torso, and the Beco Butterfly was too tall and baby was practically hitting my chin.  The Ergo felt completely natural while baby was in it, weight was distributed well, and I could nurse in it, too b/c there was no piece of fabric between me and baby.  But, try them all on, b/c even other short people I know have different preferences just based on their specific body type, so I really think it is personal choice.
