opk= pregnant?

I should start my period in 5 days. I had an opk test do I took it. It showed 2 lines. Is it possible I'm pregnant?

Me: 31 DH: 31. TTC since Sept. 2011
B/W: good. SA: good.
November 2012: Paratubal cyst found during U/S.
January 10, 2013: Lap removed paratubal cyst and Stage 2 Endometriosis.
January 2013: Unmedicated. P4 was 8.4. Meds recommended.
February 2013: Femara 2.5 mg and TI. P4 was 8.5. Meds will be doubled next cycle.
March 2013: Femara 5 mg and TI. P4 was over 11.
April 2013: Femara 5 mg and IUI#1. P4 was 11.4. Post wash over 40 million.
May 2013: Femara 5 mg and TI. Vacation during FW.
June 2013: Benched from meds due to thin lining.

It's possible. It's also possible you are going to O soon and you're not actually expecting your period in 5 days.

I've never had an OPK not have 2 lines.  You could be pregnant, but not because the OPK has 2 lines on it.  Take a HPT.

There actually is a possibility that a positive OPK indicates pregnancy. It's just not the best way to do it. Just like a blue dye test could indicate a pregnancy.... or it could be a false positive. It's just that it is so unreliable that no one would (or should) ever suggest doing it.

Actually, an OPK can detect HCG. But they also detect LH so the only way to know if the test is picking up HCG is to test with an pregnancy test.

TTC since August 2011, Me = 39, DH = 37. CD 3 bloodwork: Normal, HSG 3/29/12: tubes clear, DH's SA 3/29/12: Everything normal. Unexplained IF. Tried Clomid for 3 cycles. All BFNs.BFP 1/6/13. Chemical pregnancy.

Yes it's possible, women have gotten a positive on an OPK and turned out to be pregnant.  BUT, my question is, do you know how to read an OPK?  Just having two lines does not mean it's positive.  For an OPK to be positive the test line has to be as dark or darker than the control, so in your case I would say no, it means nothing.

While it could be possible you have no way of knowing if it's detecting the HCG or LH unless you take a HPT and get a BFP.  Whenever I take OPK's I always have 2 lines and I have yet to be KU.

It's not entirely reliable because you always have some amount of LH (the hormone that the OPK measures) in your system.  HCG is a similar hormone, and if you have enough of it in your system to turn an HPT positive, you *might* be able to turn an OPK positive.

What it comes down to is, if you think you might be pregnant and want to know, then take an HPT.

This. No matter where I am in my cycle if I take an OPK I always get two lines. I have heard of people taking an OPK around 10-12dpo and getting a positive OPK (test line is as dark/darker then control line) and they were pregnant. Two lines on an OPK is nothing to get excited about, the color of the test line might be. 

Like the others said you will only know if you take a hpt.

Actually since LH and HCG are similar, an OPK can show a positive result if you're pregnant. It is not normally recommended to use as a difinitive answer, but it does work.

OP id still say take a HPT. I get two lines at any time during my cycle with OPK's.for that to matter using it as a HPT it has to be a positive OPK, not just two lines .
