Interesting some say it is too popular or overused. Really? When you combine the spellings, it was 118 last year. Not exactly Olivia or Madison top 10 status, or even top 50 status. Anything above 100 doesn't seem overused to me but guess we all have different criteria.
The SSA doesn't give the whole story. It also depends on where you live. I grew up in the 80's with a Norah, and she was the only one I knew of. Now, Nora's are everywhere. Another friend just had a Nora. At least one of the people who responded in your thread has a DD named Nora! So, it feels more like a top 20 name where I live even though it's 118.
