Greetings and a car question: Ford Escape

Just found out I'm pregnant with #2! I'm so excited/nervous about 2u2. With dd, we didn't reveal the gender until she was born, so everything we have is gender neutral and in perfect condition. But I have ONE concern lol:

DD will be 18 months when her little brother/sister is born, and I'd like for her to still be rear-facing. We have a 2008 Ford Escape, and I'm kind of concerned about another car seat fitting in there! Dh and I are tall, so the driver's seat needs to be back a little, I'm sure we could manage with having the passenger seat more forward, though. Does anyone else have this or similar vehicle?

Any other advice would be welcome, as well :-)

We have a Honda CRV (so a small cross-over SUV), and had both DS and DD rear-facing for about 9 months until DS turned 2.  We didn't have a problem.  DS was in a Marathon behind the driver and DD was in her infant seat behind the passenger.  We moved DD to a Radian when she outgrew the infant seat (she was tiny, so 13 months in a snugride 22!), and the Radian is a lot harder to use RFing - it sits lower on the seat and is designed to be used for RF, FF, and a booster, so it is really tall to fit a larger child in a booster.  We made it work, and DD just turned FF a little over a month ago - but she needed to be behind the passenger

We had two RFing in a VW Jetta until this week, so I am of the opinion you can RF two in any vehicle :) We had to be careful picking our convertible seat to make it work. We ended up with an Evenflo Triumph behind the driver and kept the infant seat (Graco Snugride 32) behind the passenger. Very little leg room for the passenger, but the driver's seat can go just about all the way back.

Something that people commonly overlook with RF carseats is once LO is a toddler you can put them at a 30-35 degree angle (depending on the seat) which will give you more room in the front seat. Also, many cars/carseats you can have the front seat pushed back and touching the carseat. Those two things will give you more leg room in the front seat.

I have a 08 escape. I have 3 carseats in there, a chicco keyfit 30, a convertible, and a graco booster with latch. The chicco is in the middle, the convertible behind the passenger and the booster on the drivers side. Our friends bought our 2002 escape a few years back and they have 3 seats in the back also and the dad is 6'4"?
