I'm going to be using OPKs for the first time this month and am wondering about timing. Ideally I would like to avoid testing at work, so I'm wondering how the timing would work out if I'm hoping to test twice a day...
I know FMU is not ideal... can I get away with timing at 4pm and the before bed, closer to 11pm? Or is it likely I will miss my surge during the day?
Is testing with FMU and in the evening better than testing once a day? or is it more likely that by testing with FMU I'll just be wasting money?

I try to use SMU but if im out I use FMU and then again around 6-7 pm.

The reasoning for not using FMU is because your surge is supposed to typically start when you're sleeping and not reach its peak until later on in the day. That said, I've gotten +opks with FMU 3 out of the 4 cycles I've used them. I think using FMU and then testing again in the afternoon/evening is the way to go.

There is no reason why I can't do it at work... But I share 1 bathroom with 10 other woman, most of them newlywed and with my job I can really only take a bathroom break during my lunch hour when the bathroom is busy - I'm just afraid I'd out myself!! I might try with FMU and when I get home this cycle and suck it up and do it at work next cycle if I end up missing my surge

You can hit your surge with FMU. i did this cycle. then test again in the afternoon. gl!
