Just so you don't get your hopes up, the only thing that gets rid of it is giving birth. Yay. I've had it since I was 10 weeks along. Sitting too long is bad, but so is standing/walking too long. You have to find a happy medium. At night while DH and I are watching TV I get up during all the commercial breaks and stretch or walk into the kitchen and back, just to keep it from getting bad. I've tried massage, which made it worse for me, and I've been to the chiro, but those are both temporary (possibly expensive) fixes anyway. When it's really bad I lay in bed with an icepack under my butt. Tylenol helps when it's so bad that I'm in tears, but that's the only time I allow myself any medication. I'm really not sure how I will walk once I'm in third tri. Good luck.
