Weed

Do you think that smoking weed is really that bad for the baby? By posting this I'm saying I do smoke I just want to know others opinions.People have told me it can cause A.D.H.D but that's all the negative Ive really heard.Others say that their baby has turned out very smart when they smoked week. Some people say it helps them cope with their morning sickness and it helps them eat. What do you think?  Comment Please(:

Well it really comes down to do you want to take the risk? I feel like if you have to ask the question, then you are aprehensive about smoking weed. I say to just hold off for the 9 months , that way you will know that you did everything to give your baby a healthy start.

I'm not an expert on the health risks, but if you want opinions, mine is to grow thefuckup and put down the bong.  I smoked some weed here and there in college, but now I'm 28, married, working, and pregnant, therefore illegal drugs have no place in my life.  I seriously don't even know anyone who still smokes weed, and I likely wouldn't hang out with them if I did know.  Once you're responsible for another life, it's time to stop being selfish and immature and live by the law.

HmmI really wouldn't take a pothead's word on this. If you need to ask, you already know the answer. If you can't stop smoking weed for 9 months (or longer if you breastfeed. Because no, you should not smoke weed while breastfeeding) than you should probably reevaluate your priorities.

You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have

And op, it seems like you're trying to figure out if ADHD is "all" it causes. As if that's nbd and as long as the baby doesn't come out with three arms you have license to smoke guilt free. Why don't you just ask your doc? o.O

Seriously, OP. doing drugs even "only weed" can have profound effects on your baby. I see Cannabis addicted babies all the time and it is heartbreaking to see them with shakes and irritable cries. I do believe this is MUD, but if it isn't, please do not be selfish. Give your baby the best possible chance.

Um, yes, smoking anything is bad, despite what it is, because smoke blocks oxygen flow to the baby.  Keep your lungs clear, please.  Do not smoke weed while gestating or lactating, please.  There is not a single scientific study that says marijuana is helpful in any regard during pregnancy or breastfeeding.  

Also, depending on where you live, it might be illegal.  If you get caught, it's no fun to deliver a baby in the county jail.

Haven't seen anyone mention this  yet.  Smoking during pregnancy increases your babies chance of dying from SIDS.  Your selfishness could be contributing to your babies death.  Are you prepared to buy an infants coffin?

a friend of mine did smoke occasionally throughout her first pregnancy and her was born with a heart defect. Anything bad for you, is bad for your unborn. Risking it to me might be a sign someone is not prepared for the mom title.

It amazes me how stupid people can be. Smoking anything is terrible for you and your baby. There is a chance of a birth defect, sids, low birth weights, baby can be addicted to stuff and numerous issues as the baby gets older. Why take the chance that your baby could be in the nicu or death. You are extremely irresponsible and need to grow up. You are responsible for another life now.
Also you mention it helps with Ms and eating. They have prescription meds that can help and doesn't harm the baby. Zofran and promethazine is just 2 of them. Grow up please!!!

If you smoke weed while pregnant and get caught, or someone reports you, CPS could investigate you and file charges for child endangerment or even take your baby away after birth.

Your parents or the baby daddy could use your pot smoking, especially during pregnancy, as a good argument in a future custody battle. You won't get custody of your own kid, and you'll be required to pay someone else up to half your paycheck for child support.

You dont deserve to be a parent if weed is more important to you than the health of your child. Cold turkey it for 9 months then put the baby up for adoption to someone who will love it more than themselves since you seem to be incapable of doing so.
