Sort of dreading voting

I just read on FB from friends that the line is an hour and a half. I want to do it while all kids are in school so it is around this time or never. I have two comfirmed ignuinal hernias and they ache like crazy when I stand for long periods of time. I really want to vote though.. I might be the strange lady with the folding chair :) Did you vote, how was your lines?

DH and I were in and out in about 30 minutes. I imagine the lines are going to much longer this afternoon/evening.

I am an absentee voter so I've always mailed my ballot in. I've actually never gone somewhere to vote.

I just stood in line for 45 minutes, only to find out when I got to the front that I was in the line for the wrong precinct. There was no line at all for my precinct. Grr.
December 2011: Missed m/c due to trisomy 13 (conceived naturally)... January 2012: DH and I found out we are both cystic fibrosis carriers... I went at 7:30 and there was no line.  But, I live in Kansas, we typically have pretty low voter turnout.

I am in NH and as of 8 pm there were lines that were over 600 people deep. Our polls close at 7 pm so I am leaving work early to get there before they close.  I am pretty sure once you are in line before the closing time they have to let you vote.  Also maybe you could call your precinct in advance and let them know ou have a medical condition and see if they will allow you to advance in line, it wouldn't hurt to ask.

I've been hearing the last couple days my friends standing in line for 3 hours. But I'm in Ohio so that might be why....

I am dreading it.  The wait is about 3 hours right now at my polling place.  I have a friend in line I am FBing with.  Crap.  I am seriously regretting tossing that absentee ballot request in the trash now.

I did the early voting on Saturday (along with a couple hundred other people) and waited in line for 2 hours.  I had to pee so badly about halfway through but couldn't leave the line.  It was torture.  Bring a good book or have some fun apps on your phone.

I voted about 45 minutes ago and was in and out in about 10 minutes.  Our big voting rush was before everyone was supposed to report to work.  There will probably be a small swarm during lunch our, and our second big rush will be after everyone gets off of work.  I went during the mid-morning lull.  I think I had two people ahead of me, and I already knew exactly how I was voting on everything, so it was really painless.

I received mine in the mail and filled it out at home and dropped it off in a drop box at the police station.

I think it was the pre-work people that had to wait a long time. It was about 20 minutes so not bad at all :) I am sure once people get off work it will pick right back up.

I'm in Indiana. At my particular precinct, I was in and out in about 15 minutes. I've heard 45-90 minutes at others in my area.

DH and I went before work at around 7:30am. There was no line. We weren't even sure it was open. In and out in about 5 minutes. And we're in NY with all the displaced voters. The Gov signed an order that anyone displaced from Sandy can fill out a ballot at any polling place- same for NJ.

I went about 30 minutes ago and there was no line. I was happy about that because I did not want to wait in line forever.

No line where I voted. Just depends on your polling location.

Same here. The only time I've been in a polling place was when I was a volunteer. I say bring a chair and be comfortable as long as you can!
