Procardia for contractions

I was put on Procardia yesterday because I am having some contractions at 31 weeks. Should my contractions be completely gone or just eased up? I'm going to call dr but just curious if anyone has any experience with it. TIA!

I have been on procardia since 32 weeks. Mine are just not as intense. I do usually get a couple more intense ones when it is almost time for my next dose of meds.

Most of the time the meds will slow them down but very rarely fully stop them.

Sorry for the delayed response. I work from home. My OB said that if I was still contracting regularly that I was probably doing too much. My instructions were too lift my toddler as little as possible, rest and drink as much water as I can. HTH
