voting day thread

I had to start one!

I am so nervous about the Vote No campagin in MN. One of four states that has gay marriage (or as I like to call it; marriage) measures on ballots.

I can't even wait to sit my butt on the couch tonight with a glass of wine and watch all the results start to roll in. I voted this morning and it was raining and lines were long! Still worth it.

Has everyone voted yet today or when are you (USAers) planning on voting?

I voted already, voter #301 in my district! I waited in line outside for 10 minutes or so. 

Apparently, I'm banished to the bedroom tonight to watch the election results because H's new video game comes out tonight and the game system is on the big TV in the living room.

YES!!!!!  I voted today!  Governor Cuomo is allowing all NYC/Long Island voters to vote in any polling place- due to power outages and the gas shortage, so I was able to vote today at work.  We just have to sign affidavits.  But I'm so happy, because I didn't know if I would be able to make it to my polling place because I am out of gas.  (I had to bum a ride to work).

I am so happy that adjustments are being made so people can vote. I heard a story about a polling place this morning that had a generator, but no gas, so people were voting in the dark. That is dedication!

I had to take SD to daycare this morning so I knew I'd never get out of the house in time to vote. I'm voting after work, but I have to stop and pick up my mom's dog on the way, then drop her off at my house before heading over to vote. I'll probably end up being one of those people you see on the evening news still standing in line to vote. Although this is my first time voting at this polling place so I have no idea what kind of turnout they get. Maybe I'll get lucky.
TTC since August 2011, Me = 39, DH = 37. CD 3 bloodwork: Normal, HSG 3/29/12: tubes clear, DH's SA 3/29/12: Everything normal. Unexplained IF. Tried Clomid for 3 cycles. All BFNs.BFP 1/6/13. Chemical pregnancy.

I'm voting after work, so not yet, but I will. I live in the largest district in my township, so I'm expecting there to be quite a wait, so I'm planning on leaving work just a smidge early to try and beat the after work rush.

Sounds like you have your hands full today. As long as you are in line by 8pm, you will be able to cast your vote!

I voted this morning and I was in and out within about 5-10 minutes.  There's a roast in the crockpot and I'm going to pick up some wine tonight and watch results with DH. Excited and nervous, but ready for it to be over :)

MH and I voted this morning.  We got there at 6:15 and we were 7th and 8th in line and we got to wait inside.  Once the polls opened we were in and out so quick I was actually early for work, which is not usually the norm.

I've been putting it off (shame on me), so I will have to go after work today. Expecting long lines, but I guess that's what I get for waiting so long! We are voting on medical marijuana in my state, so I'm super interested to see how that goes!

We just got back from the polls. Lines were not as bad as I thought they would be. I guess that is because I went during the day not right before or after work. We had a recall election earlier this year and lines were crazy.

I'm voting after work! It's my first time voting in this polling location, so hopefully there's not a gigantic wait. 

It's great to see that those areas hit by Sandy are making sure residents are still able to vote.

DH and I are voting after work.  We live in a small town in Iowa so there should not be a wait at all.  Should be a 10 minute deal.

MH voted before work, the minute the doors opened at 6am and I went around 10am. The biggest line was the line for voter registration, which I loved to see.

This is the first election I have been so invested in. And my anxiety is through the roof. Definitely opening a bottle of wine tonight while watching the numbers pour in on the news!

 

ETA - I'm getting some hardcore O pains, so, it will be either happy sex or sex to cheer me up tonight. Either way, sex.

TTC#2 Since July 2011
Me: 29, had two blocked tubes - left was cleared during lap&dye, right was unable to be cleared. PCOS & Stage 2 Endo. DH: 31, SA = perfect.
CLOMID: 4 rounds, 50mg + TI = BFN's.
FEMARA: 1 round = no response.
12-24-2012 : Laparoscopy, Softball sized cyst/endo/scar tissue removed.
Cycle #14 - Feb 2013 : 50mg clomid. Ovidrel Trigger. IUI on 2/14/13 = thin lining, multiple cysts.
Cycle #15 - no meds, still have cysts, no follicles. Boo!
Forced break. Continuous BCP for 6 weeks to give my jacked up ovaries a break.
Cycle #16 actively trying: May/June plan: Femara, Ovidrel Trigger, IUI! Bring iiiiit!

We are going as a family when my husband gets home in about two hours. I have heard from three people on my Facebook thread who have not gotten stickers. I will be so disappointed if there are no stickers left when I get there. Stickers are a part of the fun!
