Rec Baby Monitor

Can you recommend your baby monitor. Does not need to be video, but if you have a video one, which one and why do you like it?

Motorola 3.5" video monitor.  It's one of the priciest models at $239+ , but it's been great for us.

I think a video monitor is a must if you have multiple stories or a large residence and really useful at night to give you peace of mind and let you see what your kids are doing.  You pretty much need that 3.5 inch screen size to get good resolution, so smaller models are less ideal.  Night vision is very good and sound is clear.  It's expandable with additional cameras if you need to monitor several rooms.  It has panning and tilt controls to move the camera.  Controls are basic, but simple and the unit seems durable.  I've dropped the monitor a few times (and it will happen) with no apparent damage.

Angelcare monitor! Saved my DD life since it tells you when baby stops breathing and DD had severe reflux and was choking on spit up, turning blue, and laying on her back at 6 weeks old. It has a motion sensor under the mattress that tell you movement (with a pendulum icon). It isn't a video monitor but definitely my best baby purchase.

We have a Sony Baby Call, it's your basic analog monitor and we absolutely love it. I did a ridiculous amount of research on monitors... I'm talking spreadsheet comparisons, done by hand because I can't use excel to save my life lol. Comparing close to 20 monitors and not only was it the cheapest but it was also the highest rated monitor from 6 different websites, we paid $40 (I believe) for one parent unit, and it's $60ish for two parent units.
