I've done it and it really changed my life. The first practitioner I had just didn't get me and nothing worked. The second one was amazing. I'm not going now because I moved across the country and haven't heard about anyone too great in the area.
Throwing the sissy card out there...I am considering it too, but does it hurt? I hate needles!!! They give me anxiety...
I did it a couple of years ago for arm and wrist pain. I'm am a huge sally when it comes to needles and I pass out frequently. The first session I went to I had to sing to myself in my head to get through it. WAHHH! The remaining sessions I brought my ipod. Most of the sessions hurt, especially when she put the needles in new spots. Some sessions didn't hurt, but I hated moving AT ALL because I could feel the needles wheevern I moved. I did fall asleep in a few of those sessions that didn't hurt. With all of that, I still plan on going back early next year when my health insurance is switched over to a plan that covers it. I think that it did help my pain, but didn't eliminate it. I would try a few sessions to get used to it before writing it off. I wouldn't have gone back after the first session, but it was doctor prescribed so I did. But if I hadn't, I would've missed out. I hope that helps.
