Texas mommas.. Help!

What do you dress your babies in late March / early April? I know that our weather is never constant but what do clothing do you usually purchase?

I plan to do what my sister did. Layer! That way you can easily add or take off depending on our unpredictable weather.  I am due any day now and I have several layering items in the baby bag for our going home outfit because at night it is 50 degrees in Austin, but 80 during the day! Silly weather.

I agree with layers. I am due middle off march and will be getting long sleeve footed pjs in newborn size. I also got lots of onesies to layer with jackets and baby legs. It usually gets warm in april so I am hoping I will have enough to hold me over until then. This time of year is a little difficult because it is hot one day cold the next.

Yes, definitely layer. And keep in mind that LO will likely spend most of the time indoors. You should be able to just put a blanket over the infant seat to carry LO outside and in the car.

I'm due March 3rd and everything I have bought in size newborn is long sleeved or pants; anything I have purchased in 3 months is short sleeved or shorts. More than likely he will be out of the newborn clothes by two months at the latest so I don't think we'll run into too many issues. I'm in the Dallas area and in March it can range but realistically we won't leave the house until April with the exception of a few doctors appointments, and even if we do I can throw a blanket on him if it's still chilly, or leave it off if it starts getting warmer.

You can always buy short sleeve onesies and some zip-up hoodies/cardigans, they have some (hoodies) at Carter's right  now for like, $8 I think- and that way you can still use the onesies into the summer (if they still fit).

DD was born in June and it was already a sweatbox outside, she would be in a sleeveless one piece and sweating in her carrier so you never know-

I would get some short sleeve and long sleeve onesies, a cardigan or two, and a few pairs of pants.

Awesome! Thank y'all so much! I think that I have some returning to do. I got blinded by all the cute 03 long sleeve onsies that Old Navy had only to realize that I have close to 20! I will keep a few and return the rest. I will invest in some layers instead especially with me being due close to the end of March.
