Hot showers?

I am not sure if this has been asked before it didn't come up in my search or on google. I like to take a nice hot shower after sex, most of the time (just as a nice relaxing measure). I usually wait about 15 minutes before I do this. It seems that a lot of people avoid hot baths when TTC is it the same for showers? My educated guess would be no, because the body is not submerged in the water and therefore is exposed to the air thus allowing the temperature of the body to remain static. If somebody has any knowledge of this subject that would be appreciated. Thanks!Smile

As long as your core temperature doesn't get too warm (like 100 degrees or more for a prolonged period of time) then you should be fine. The concern, I belief, is for pregnant women. Live your life as normal until the strip turns pink.

I love this it made me laugh. I had just heard this mentioned around and thought I would check it out. Besides I could never give up my hot showers

I did read somewhere recently about TTC and heat.  What I read was more about men trying to avoid heat since it can effect sperm count, etc.  I wish I could remember where I read it, so I knew if it was a valid source.

That has to do with men and hot tubs.



TTC since October 2011.
DX with Non-IR PCOS in October 2012.
Missing RIGHT tube due to a prior surgery to remove cyst-zilla (40 lbs!) at age 12.
HSG showed tube was blocked - cleared by dye. DON'T DO CLOMID WITHOUT AN HSG!
Cycle #8 with 50mg Clomid & TI = BFN
Cycle #9 with 50mg Clomid & TI = No response.
Cycle #10 with Clomid 100mg + Ovidrel shot = BFN
Cycle #11 is a break cycle. Cycle #12 is a break cycle. (The break so nice, she did it twice!)

You can take hot baths too- even when pregnant.

Oh dear, second day in a row you gals have made me laugh out loud at the office and given my coworkers an excuse to stare - but keep it coming! :D

I love hot baths and always have, but I never stay in them too long and haven't heard that they could be a problem for TTC...pregnancy maybe, but I would think you'd have to cook yourself pretty good for it to affect your eggs or chances of conceiving.
