Should I worry??

I am a STM. This pregnancy I am measuring big. Im only 31 weeks and already dilated 1cm. I havent worried at all but everyone I mention it to says I should be on bed rest and that he will be here sooner than my due date. My doctor wasnt the one who checked me it was the hospital. I went in for early contractions. I see my doctor Monday. I figured if it was that serious my doctor would have called me....

I think if your doctor was concerned, he/she would put you on bedrest. I love how there's always a peanut gallery of people who know more about our pregnancies and babies than we or our doctors.

I wouldn't worry until your doctor tells you to worry. I also wouldn't give people fuel to egg on any worry for you. Lots of people dilate and stay that way for a long time before delivering. Don't worry!

After you've had a baby vaginally you'll always be dialated about a centimeter. It never really closes completely. Don't worry unless your doc tells you too. Also, most don't get cervix checks that early, and if they did, there would be lots more ladies walking around knowing they were 'dilated' much earlier than what's considered typical.

I wouldn't worry - just take it easy until MOnday and see what the doctor says.
