Awful sore throat, burning chest! Any relief tips?

Hi all,

I have a sore throat and this morning when I woke up my chest was burning. I've tried gargling with salt water, drinking chamomile tea, and cough drops. Nothing is working! 

Do any of you ladies have any safe and/or natural remedies that I can try?

I also have a 23 month old and I do not want to get her sick. 

Please help!

burning chest sounds like heart burn? maybe you can take a tums. Sadly, we cant take a lot of medicines like everyone else can. When I had my cold I took airborne, vitamin c drops, cough drops and tylenol/tylenol pm. it sucks but you'll get over it, hopefully soon. get better!

Burning chest should be seen by a doctor, especially if accompanied by a fever.

This. Particularly if your chest feels tight at all, or you feel like you want to cough but it hurts to do so.

Thanks everyone for your tips! I went to the doctor and they prescribed me a concoction mix of Mylanta and Benadryl. It has worked wonders!
