I had an appointment this afternoon, that was going to be my 1hr Glucose and a Colposcopy. It first started off with waiting for the 1 poor recepitonist to work here way through 4 check-ins. I felt so bad for her, but she did great, she recognized me and told me to sit and she would call me back up in a minute. The other receptionist came back and just asked me from across the room when i drank the orange stuff. So i did not have to get back up. Niice.
Next was this, i have to be guessing "new" couple. They were probably around my age of 21 or at least close. She came in with the man an hour early for the appointment. which was okay, but as she sat at the far end of our waiting room, she pulled out a first response box, I thought they were PG tests, but couldn't be sure. So i started to rest for a bit. Than i have to listen to the man with her start bit**ing at her for so many things, and loudly at that. And she is responding just as loud and bit**y. Me nor any of the other people in the waiting room could stop ourselves from looking at them, most of us with "come on!" kind of faces. Wasn't I so happy to be called in!!
Went into the room, which is the exam room, they use it for the colposcopy. She took my blood pressure, which was high for me, but still average for others. Listened to the heartbeat, and then she gave me a sympathetic look. Told me I was early for my glucose test. Usually done in 3 more weeks. She was all apologetic about it, saying we would have to wait. I told her it was fine because I had already threw up both halfs of the drink. She felt bad about it. But hey, it wouldn't have worked well with none of it in my system anyways.
OB came in and was talking about how I am still not gaining enough weight, and how she was sorry I was still getting sick. And then we compared my previous pregnancy to this one. Like normal. Than she asked if it would be alright if one of the new nurses came in to obsevrve the colposcopy. She was new and needed to see one and all. Told her sure, honestly, I am all for helping out with training. So durring my procedure I had the nurse, the new nurse and my OB with me. LO was kicking and moving up a storm, caused me some pain. But still alright. They were trying to distract me. First was asking about if I knew the sex. Then they all said they did not belive it was another boy. Their reasons- It is such a different pregnancy than with my first DS, The ultrasound pics didn't look so deffnite in their eyes, and with so much sickness, they would think girl. LOL. Next topic was my fave!! They told me that i would have to do the glucose test in 4 weeks-29 weeks about. With all of them wishing for me to be no longer sick at that time and be able to keep it down. Then i would start my every 2 week appointments! and my appointment after the glucose test would be my ULTRASOUND!!! Oh my GOD i was so excited!! I can not wait...
