belly at 10 weeks?

I'm 10 weeks and I've always been slender unless I just ate a big meal, (food baby) So now, I'm barely 10 weeks and I have a belly already, but I don't know if it's due to bloating. It's there all the time though. Does anyone know what the average size of belly growth is by week 10?

I was pretty big by 12 weeks with my first. Here's a pic...

Sorry it's so big, I can't adjust the size for some reason.

I'm just 7 weeks and I'm gaining  weight and feel like I'm starting to show also. I'm pretty thin to start with. I'm worried at this rate I'm going to be huge!

Don't worry, its just bloat. Unfortunately a very common side effect of early pregnancy!

Not necessarily.  I am 10 weeks and my uterus is already above my pelvic bone.  I had the midwife show me exactly where it was.  She said it's higher up probably due to 3rd pregnancy and a previous c/s. This picture is from 2 weeks ago:)

Since OP did not say she already has kids I assumed she is a FTM. You show sooner with every pregnancy you have so in your case it's baby but in her case it's probably bloat.

With my first I started showing very early as well.  I just think everyone is different and some people show way earlier than others.  Everyone has always thought I am farther along than I really am with all of my pregnancies so I just wanted to let OP that no, it may not be just bloat.  It seems a lot of the posters here like to go by the book and say it is impossible to be showing  before a certain time.  There are always exceptions.

I had gained 10lbs by 10 weeks and was already in maternity pants since it was all belly bloat.  I only gained another 5lbs during the rest of the pregnancy and didn't actually look pregnant until I was well into my third trimester.  Yippee for just looking really fat for 7 months Sad

This was my first pregnancy. So it is possible to show early, believe me it wasn't bloat.

Okay ladies. She asked about the average, not exceptions to the rule. That's what I was responding to. The average woman is bloated at 10 weeks, and her uterus its generally not above her pelvic bone.

At 10 weeks, it's more than likely due to bloat.

This is what I was responding to as well. It's like everyone who has REALLY bad morning sickness thinking they are having twins. Yes, some of them are but most likely they are not.

Thanks for all the comments! This is my first baby and I thought it was baby belly, but then I ran into a friend of mine who said it's too early to be showing. I was hoping it'd be baby belly, but now that I think about it, I still haven't laid off the carbonated drinks completely and have been burping like crazy so maybe it is just bloat. :( Thanks again ladies!

personally for me, i think its more bloat, but its slowly getting to be more baby. not really showing yet, im still in my regular jeans. this picture was taken at 11 weeks, and the picture under is my friend at 12 weeks. both are first children. I can see a slight bump on her. I think it just depends on the person and possibly body type. I have wide hips, im 5'7 and 175lbs. shes 5'3 and 130lbs.
