Hell yes. We called him Skeletor. He rode his bike everywhere and never took his helmet off. Junior year, he got a girlfriend who also never took hers off and I'm pretty sure they're married now.

Aw.. I have a soft spot for this because my brother has autistic tendencies and went through times where he had to bring/wear an item to school every day to feel secure.  It was never a bike helmet, though.
