Help! How can I get her to eat more during the day so we can all sleep??

So my baby is 10 months old and has never been a great eater or sleeper but she has in the past slept through the night and did eat baby food and baby cereal great. Now she up 2-3 times up at night and I KNOW she is hungry since she is not eating much during the day. She spits and turns her head and covers her mouth after 2-3 bites and spits bottles out after 2-3 ounces. No matter when, or what i feed her, even her favorite foods. She only has 2 bottom teeth so more dense table food scares me. Other than baby food, weve done cheerios, cheese and yogurt and real banana and pear. Any ideas on how to get her to eat more?

We did CIO at 6 mo and she goes to sleep alone fine, and can get herself back to sleep on occasion but now I can hear her stomach growling. I know shes hungry not just needing comfort, I dont think its a sleep issue and have tried so many times to put her back down but she will just be restless or cry and wont sleep until shes fed.

Any help is appreciated- im so tired and hate fighting over food all day! Thanks ladies

I'm in the same boat with the food, he's not doing great with finger foods and only sometimes will take baby food. Have you tried distracting her while feeding her a bottle? he's been fussy when I give him a bottle so I throw on little einsteins or Elmo for him to watch and he'll drink the whole bottle usually. I know it's a bad habit that I've started but he eats and that's all that matters :) As for sleeping we did the sleep lady shuffle where you sit next to their crib until they fall asleep and seems like ever since then he's been sleeping from 7:30-5:30 and not crying or waking up. I know he moves around at night but he never needs me to come in. I also throw an extra pacifier in his crib and he has a aden and anais lovey to hold at night too that smells like me. Sorry you're going through this, I know it's frustrating. You could also see if maybe she has an ear infection or maybe she's teething? Good luck and hope this helps :)

My son still nurses at least once a night a few times a week, and I'm OK with that.  It doesn't sound like she is eating much protein, have you tried introducing chicken, beef, turkey, etc?  E is almost 11 months, gets three meals a day and has since 8 months.  Two meals (lunch & dinner) consist of a protein, fruit and veggie.  We also introduced 'snacks' in the last few weeks.  He loves yogurt (I give him greek yogurt) and fruit as a snack.  I would keep offering solids, but it sounds like it is time to introduce different foods and offer a variety of fruits/veggies/proteins.

E still has really bad nights, usually when he is teething.  He doesn't want to nurse though, if he does it is just for comfort.  Ibuprofen works amazing for E when he is having teething pain.
