dropping bottles

My 10 month old is not dropping any bottles, not even any oz. of formula.  Should I start "helping" him do this, or let him do it on his own?

I started 3 solid meals and he went from 6oz to 4oz on his own, but still hasn't dropped the night feeding :( If he's happy, healthy, and thriving...just go with the flow!

My LO has always just done it when he's ready. I've never pressured him to drop bottles. One day he just decides to skip his formula in favor of a snack, and that's that. He's a year old and just recently dropped down to 3 bottles a day (2 8-oz and 1 6-oz), plus a sippy of WCM anytime he wants it. I'm in the process of replacing the afternoon formula bottle with a sippy cup of WCM, but other than that I'm not worried about weaning right away. He's pretty good at making sure he gets what he needs from me.

Mine is almost 11 months and still consumes almost the same amount- 28-32 ounces even though she eats 3 meals a day!

I'd let him do it on his own. At ten months I would still feel best with him getting the nutrition from the formula.

I would let him do it on his own.  But if he does not after his first birthday then I would start helping him gradually by decreasing milk and increasing solids.

My girls still get 4 8 ounce bottles a day. Sometimes they'll eat it all other days they'll leave a few ounces a bottle. It all depends on them...i'm not pressuring them they dropped their other bottles with time and I feel like they'll do the same with these. I'm a big believer that Formula should be their #1 source of nutrition until atleast 1 years old anyways.

how much does he eat for solids?  I think that's the only reason my DD starting dropping bottles on her own - she was naturally wanting more and more at her actual meals.

At 11 months, we're down to 1-2 5oz bottles per day now.  At 10 months she was still taking 4 6oz bottles (I think, I can't remember when she dropped to 3)
