Maxi-Cosi Mico Infant Carrier

Reviews...likes/dislikes....overall I really like this infant carrier, but some of the negative reviews regarding the base are making me second guess.

Also anyone that has this, can you tell me if it actually comes with a base or that is separate, I have not found any information directly saying that it does.

I had the Mico for my daughter and loved it. It does come with the base and a canopy. The base was really easy to install with latch. It's also really easy to do a baseless install which I did all the time when we used my husbands car. We took it on an airplane too and it was easy to install as well. It's fairly light weight and has a nice shaped handle.
I actually wrote a thorough review on amazon and posted pictures of it with the quinny zapp stroller.
The only potential downside of the Mico is that it only goes to 22 pounds and 29 inches. It wasn't an issue for me since I was looking for something lightweight and small. We moved to a convertible around 9 months, but it would have lasted us until almost a year.

We have this carseat and really like it. It's small and compact and easy to carry around. Also, the canopy is easy to take on and off. It does come with a base. If you would like to buy an additional base, they are usually around 60 or 70 and a bit less than some other popular carseats that we looked at, like the Chaperone. Since we needed the extra base, this was a factor in our final decion. Also, it comes in adorable colors. We have a girl, but wanted a bit gender neutral and went with the blue seat that has a cute cloud and raindrop design ;

We used one for DD and I have no complaints.  I love how much lighter it is compared to other infant seats.  We switched her to the convertible at 6 months when she would no longer sit in it in restaurants.  She would have outgrown it at 9-10 months because of her height (29in).

Ours came with one base.

We loved ours. I found it super easy to install without base for places like friends cars or taxis.
