I'm a carrier too, with no known family history. It was pretty shocking. But luckily, Spouse is not a carrier, at least of the most common mutations of course, so that was a huge sigh of relief. I was pretty much hoping the same thing, that his Cape Verdean roots would win out over his Caucasian genes! You'll get the results soon. And don't forget, even if he is a carrier, there's still only a 25% chance that your baby will actually have CF, so there is still a great chance of a perfectly healthy baby!
