Baby shower gift ideas

Thought I'd enlist everyone's help. My friend is having a shower in two weeks and almost everything on her Amazon baby registry is purchased already. What do you recommend for a great gift idea that you wouldn't be annoyed getting since its wasn't on your registry?

She is CD and breast feeding. She has had all kinds of Aden & Anais Muslin Items already, swaddle blankets, bibs, etc. They are team green. And I would describe her as a pretty environmental friendly mom-to-be.

TIA!

You cant go wrong with more CD. A gift card is impersonal but its always a nice gift!

Do you know if she has a diaper sprayer for cleaning the cloth diapers on her registry? If not, maybe that's something you could get her. It hooks up to the water supply on the toilet to help dispose of the solid wastes. Also, maybe some extra wet bags for the CDs?

Here's a link to some CD accessories for ideas:

Wow...sounds like she is one lucky lady.  I personally would probably go with a gift card and maybe a Halo sac (larger size for next winter).  I might also make a basket containing supplies she might need for breastfeeding (Fenegreek, Mother's Milk Tea, pure Lanolin, nursing pads, etc.) along with a gift card.  It kind of depends on what she had on her registry though.  Sometimes if the registry is bought up...I've gotten something for either "just mom"...like a massage or "mom and dad"...like a movie and dinner gift card/certificate.  I also volunteer to babysit for whatever date they make it.

Not knowing all of what is on her registry, she may already be well equipped with this stuff, but if she's exclusively breastfeeding, things like extra boppy covers (or whatever pad she's using to rest baby on when feeding) would be nice, since they WILL get soiled, so having an extra pattern would be great; also, accessories for her like the PP mentioned like nursing pads, Lanolin or other nipple cream, etc. would be nice, since you can't really get too many of them. (I was buying them until about three months ago when I weaned DD#1, so yeah, 23 months worth of breast pads!)  Extra CD covers in cute patterns (green of course!) would also be good.  More diapers = less laundry for her.

A huge pack of diapers and wipes.  I was at a baby shower and the mom to be way very excited when she received these from somebody.

I'm planning to exclusively breast feed and I know the one thing that I desperately want to put on my registry but can't is FREEZER MEALS.

Seriously. I would probably burst into tears if someone could set me up with a few easy meals that don't require me to stand over a stove while the baby cries from hunger. I would love it. The last thing a health conscious new mom wants is to have to resort to take out or fast food, right?

This baby will be my third (it's been a decade since my last was born) and I know I won't have the time right after he's born to cook decent meals for the rest of us. Anything that can help me save time without sacrificing the healthy eating we're used to would be greatly appreciated.

Another thought would be to get her an Amazon gift card. If she registered with them, she obviously shops there.

Another vote for a gift card.  If you really can't find anything you would want to get her, that is the next best thing.  And if you KNOW she is cloth diapering for sure, I wouldn't really recommend getting her disposables unless she's asked for it.  It is just something she'd either have to store and get rid of later if they don't use them, or make a trip to return them.

OP mentioned that she is going to cloth diaper, otherwise I'd agree.

Wipes, a moby wrap, some books, clothes, multiples of things you know she'll need more of (like diaper genie refills for example, baby shampoo/lotion/bath stuff, spoons, feeding stuff), a book on breastfeeding (The Womanly Art of BFing), Baby 411, Toddler 411

When my daughter was first born, this was the only thing that would stop her from crying...

http://www.geniusbabies.com/sunsymneur.html

Also, we got stopped every 5 minutes when she wore these.... http://www.yomybooties.com/categories/Signature-Angora-Booties/  If she's team green, get the ivory or chocolate.

I also really loved the Fattamano blanket and booties... http://www.whatshebuys.com/fainpa.html?campaign=google&kw=Fattamano&gclid=CPqRl-SVyLMCFcXb4AodFm4Aww

I'm a FTM and someone got us a vaporizer I didn't even know that it was a thing to ask for, but already broke it out bc I've been coughing a bunch lately.

Otherwise, I loved the gifts of "refills" extra diaper pail refills, wipe refills, disposable changing pads, lotion/baby shampoo/etc., milk bags, etc. I'm sure that we'll use it all eventually and we won't have to run out the first week or so.

I really liked the idea of a basket of breast feeding supplies that a PP poster mentioned. Maybe you could do a few small items (lotion, breast pads, etc) along with a gift card?

Just had my shower yesterday, was not annoyed by anything anyone gave me! Really liked the yellow, gray, and white knit hat/ booties someone found on Etsy. I think its great to get hand made, non registry items, you are in an enviable position, not having to give the utilitarian stuff! :7

I totally agree with the diaper sprayer. It has made cloth diapering so much easier, it's kind of an "unnecessary" investment so I didn't buy it at first but I wish I would have because it really helps! And I would be over the moon if someone bought me CDs! BG is a good way to go, I've never heard of anyone disliking them.

Sophie the Giraffe has been a favorite in our house but I never thought to register for it.

I'd put together a basket of expendable items- bath stuff (check her registry for brand; California Baby is a pricey but very "green" brand), saline drops, etc. and some board or cloth books.

how about a nice three tier diaper cake?

get on youtube nd learn how to make one, they are easy to make and you need about 60 diapers, a plush doll, and some ribbons.
