Rash from Baby Orajel Natruals: New Formula

Ran out of the old formula, and the new formula seems to have given my LO a rash. The new formula does NOT have clove, which people say causes a rash...but not in my little one. But what ever is in the new formula seems to. Anyone else have this happen?? Also, I miss the clove smell.

Our pedi told us not to use Orajel. I would call your dr in the morn and switch to teething tablets or something similar that is homeopathic. Or just Motrin or Tylenol for discomfort.

Our Pedi told us not to use Orajel either because it can cause them to be allergic to the numbing medication used in the dentist office.  Luckily my girls have been pretty good with teething, but if you are having a hard time with teething, I would really use something other then Orajel.

We have always been told to stay away from Baby Orajel in general, and if you've ever used it you'd want to anyway... the stuff is awful!

Switch to teething tablets, we use Hyland's, I have tried them and they are wonderful... they take the pain away (I have a tooth broken down to the gum and being pregnant the gum sensitivity has really aggravated it) but they don't leave that nasty cakey, horribly numb feeling like orajel does. And they're homeopathic.

thanks ladies. The Orajel Natural is all natural. No benzocaine, it uses Chamomile to sooth. The old formula used clove.

Anyway..rash went away. Guess it was the Chamomile.
