angelcare monitor?

Someone got us an angelcare monitor as a gift.  I guess its supposed to monitor baby's breathing, etc to make sure everything is ok while sleeping.  Does anyone have this and if so, is it a good thing or does it just make you worry more than you would?

I've been using mine for almost 3 years and I like it.  Once the girls were 9 months old it started giving false alarms when they rolled too far from the monitor.  I just upped the sensitvity and they stopped.  I found that it gave me peace of mind.

We had the Snuza Halo (another breathing monitor) and absolutely loved it.  Such peace of mind!

We have it and have used it every night until this week. It has given me so much peace of mind. You may have to play with the settings to make sure you don't get false alarms but seriously, I love it.

I've been wanting to get a breathing monitor too and was recommended the snuza over the angelcare.. Found this one for $80 vs one for $116... Is there a difference between the two? Is the snuza really better than the angelcare?

We have the Angelcare and loved it. It gave us peace of mind! We used it until a couple of weeks before our DD's first birthday. The only reason we stopped was because we had two nights in a row of false alarms from her moving off the sensor. At that point I didn't think it was necessary to use it any longer so we packed it away, but will definitely be using it again for this LO.

I loved my angelcare monitor. We used it until DD was about 9 months old and she would roll all over the crib. We quit using it because DD slept on her knees and elbows so we got tons of false alarms even with the sensitivity turned all the way up. We will use it for little baby.

I LOVE our anglecare monitor. We did get a few false alarms, but after playing around with the settings got it all figured out. We even used it in the bassinet portion of the PnP for the first couple months.

I LOVE mine. I only had a few false alarms, she was only 4lb when we started using it and I think it just had a hard time with her small size so I ended up co-sleeping for awhile. This made her transition from my room to her own much easier for me knowing I would be woken up if something went wrong.  I think we might have had 3-4 false alarms in the 10 months of using it.
