xp: clothes for long babies

for mobile: clothes for long babies

Aria is very long and skinny.  She can't stretch out her legs in newborn clothes but the 0-3 months, while they're generally long enough, they are swimming on her otherwise.  

Does anyone know if any brands run long/skinny? I saw in a previous post that Baby Gap does--anything else?

Carter's seems to run long and skinny. You could try those.

Def Carter's...our DD is 23 months old and is 32" and 20 pounds, she can still wear a 9-12 months in Carter's because the length is long enough and she's not swimming in the width.

Our DS was 20" and 7.7 at birth and Carter's and the Target version "Just One You" seem to both fit very well for his length and skinny body.

I'm right there with you!  My LO had IUGR and was 5 lbs 1 ounce at birth but 19 inches long.  So preemies were way too short, but the newborns were swimming on him.  Now we are in 0-3, but alot of them are getting short but still big everywhere else.  I second Carter's brand. 

DX: DOR & Fragile X premutation carrier
2011: FSH 13.3 & E 99; AMH 0.54 ~ 2nd FSH 6.2 E 40's AFC: 8
BFP from Clomid/IUI ~ Pre-e and IUGR during pregnancy ~ LO born 9/4/12
Feb. 2013: AMH less than 0.16 (undetectable) ~ FSH 6.8 (normal)
What is going on with my body?

I dont think Carters is that thin. My DD is 7 weeks, 24in, and around9lbs. 3mo clothes work for the length, but they are HUGE around her middle. Separates work best for her. Gerber onesies run a size small, and work great for an added layer to create some bulk.Good luck!

Carter's onesies seem to work for the long skinny baby, but I have a newborn Carter's dress that is still loose around DD's middle at 9 weeks. I have the same problem. I occasionally mix the outfits to find stuff that fits her. Tights are also a lifesaver to make the dresses work for her.  I cloth diaper which helps adds bulk to her bum, but then shirts are huge around her middle...
