Water tastes gross!!

Nausea and food aversions hit me like a mack truck yesterday and since then every smell is bothering me -- I can't even do the dishes because of the way the sink smells. Worst of all though is that I can't stomach the taste of water. I know I need to hydrate but when I sip water it makes me even more nauseous. I have tried filtered water and bottled water and I don't know if I want to try tap because our city water is not great. Anybody else??

I am a big water drinker and had the same issues.  Try squeezing some lemon into your water or maybe switch to Perrier or S. Pelligrino (that helped me with nausea as well so double bonus!).

Same here! I was drinking a ton of water until the last week or two. I get so grossed out gulping water.
I did find that using a straw makes it easier to get down.
But i have been incorporating apple juice or orange juice into my diet instead. Its easier to get down, has some nutrients and also had that tart taste that helps ease nausea.
But i definitely recommend trying to use a straw to drink anything.

Me too, I've had decent luck with limeflavored seltzer, or mixing seltzer and OJ.

Another idea would be to mix in 100% cranberry juice if you can find it.  I'm not talking about the the cocktail kind.  The kind I'm referring to is usually in with the organic stuff and runs around $8 a bottle (pricey, I know) but it will last you a month if you use it sparingly in your water.  It's tart, but it really helps with nausea and adds flavor without adding extra sugar and lots of unnecessary calories.

Ooh, that's brilliant. The restaurant downstairs has VERY tart homemade lemonade, but even that has a pretty big amount of sugar, so I've been limiting my intake. Will definitely try the cranberry idea.

Thanks ladies, these are all great suggestions. I have been stealing DS's Honest Kids apple juices like crazy but I'm sure he'd be glad if mommy got her own drink. Especially will have to try limeflavored seltzer, that sounds delicious right now!

I mix my water with juice when I get tired of it.  Apple and white grape are the best

I have bottles of lemon juice at home and work.  Any time I get tired of water I just squeeze some in and it's delicious.

I've never particularly liked the taste of water, so this isn't new for me. Filtered helps, but blegh. Hopefully it goes away for you.

The problem with additives like Mio and Crystal Light is that they are full of artificial sweeteners/chemicals which are really not very good for you.
