I try not to think about it or look at it too much, but I'm excited about the baby's room in general, the crib, the painting, the curtains, etc...

Me: 35, DH: 36, ttc: 3+ years, dx: unknown
10/11: after 2 years, saw a RE, FSH 5.4
11/11: BFP! (surprise after thyroid med & normal hsg),
12/11: missed m/c after 7 week u/s,
1/12: D&C,
6/12 IUI #1: clomid, 5 mature follicles, excellent sperm,= BFN,
7/12: IUI #2: clomid, 3 mature follicles, excellent sperm= BFN,
8/12: IUi #3: clomid, 5 follicles, = BFP!, C/P
10/12 IVF #1: FSH 5.4, estradiol AFC: 14, long Lupron 150/bravelle75,5R/5M/4F, all 4 made it to 5dt, 1 blast and 1 8 cell transferred. No frosties. BFN
IVF #2: AFC 21, MD lupron 12/25, 225bravelle/150men, 4R/4M/3F, 5dt of 1 blast BFN
IVF #3: natural start antagon, starting 3/30, ER 4/11, 12R,11M,10F

1.  Halloween.  It's my favorite holiday.  I cannot wait to go to the pumpkin farm, decorate my house, take the kid(s) trick or treating and having the best Halloween parties!:)  This year was really hard for me....the last three years I've told myself that next year will be different and I went on enjoying my holiday.  I couldn't get into it this year because I was still in the same boat as the previous years.  I hope to God next year is finally different and I either have a tiny baby or I'm pregnant!

2.  I'm most looking forward to getting the stroller...I don't know why but I just am.  I'd love an UPPA baby Vista but it's so expensive.  I don't know if we'll be able to splurge or not especially doing IVF and if we have to do it several times.  Otherwise I really like the Britax B-agile.  

Ok, I kind of feel like a crazy woman since I know what baby gear i want...lol...

1. I'll be looking forward most to Christmas and birthdays.  A hobby of mine is decorating cakes, so I'm psyched to make really cool birthday cakes for my kids.

2. For baby gear, I think I'm looking forward to the crib or a nice rocking chair for the babies room.

1. This is hard. DH hates the holidays right now cause we are the only ones with out kids.  So I'm thinking Christmas. I want Christmas to be fun again.

2.  I want to get my baby furniture. It'll be the base for nursery decor.

For sure I think Christmas and Easter would be my top two! I feel like the holidays are so much more fun with babies around (well..when you're not TTC..when you are, it can be a sad reminder of how bad you want one!)..when my brother had his daughter, my niece Lilia, Christmas was so much more fun! Cute baby gifts, playing with the baby, dressing her up in cute little Christmas outfits..etc. For sure, that would be my number one! Easter is my second because I am an avid churchgoer and I would love a gorgeous family portrait with my precious bundle of joy. Plus, the chance to dress my baby to the nines! Yes please.

2.  What baby gear item are you most looking forward to purchasing/getting? 

More than anything, definitely baby clothes.
Married for 3 years to the love of my life! TTC for over a year. Started seeing RE in April 2012. Lap in July revealed endo covering left ovary and part of my bowels. This will require extensive surgery by a specialist. RE wants us to have babies first because surgery could compromise my ability to carry. Started first round of IVF in August. Ten follies retrieved, eight fertilized, two frosties. IVF #1= C/P *Frozen Embie Transfer scheduled for end of Nov/Dec. Going to transfer 2 frosties if all goes according to plan*
FET # 1 [12/18]: Transferred two "beautiful" embies.
Beta # 1: 126 [BFP!]
Beta # 2: 546
Beta #3: 1618!!

Christmas for sure!  This is my favorite holiday because it extends about 3 days for us and we actually get to see ALL sides of the family.  

2.  What baby gear item are you most looking forward to purchasing/getting? 

Baby clothes and a stroller.  I started researching strollers before we were even TTC and my sister was pg.  I have no idea why, but it's just a big deal to me.  When we went forward with IVF (completely OOP), I told DH I refused to compromise on a stroller due to price!

Definitely Christmas, it's so much fun with little ones around.

I'm most excited for baby clothes and a travel system.  For whatever reason I'm obsessed with travel systems that just snap in places where you need them.  They remind me of Tupperware!  You can use them multiple ways.  LOL

1.  What holiday/time of year are you most looking forward to when you have a baby?  I am looking forward to fall time right up through Christmas. I love all the fall activites, apple picking, pumpkin picking and decorating, kids dressing up etc. I also love Christmas holidays and all that goes with it. The lights, tree, making cookies. THe holidays tend to be hard because I am reminded no kids, but I am really really going to try to get in the spirit this year no matter what.

1. Christmas!!! DH didn't even want to decorate last year bc he didn't see the point with no LO around :( But really, seeing any holiday through a child's eyes makes it a little more special, so I can't wait for all of them. And at least this year we will be hosting dinner, so the Christmas décor must go up!!!

 2. I really want to decorate the nursery. We have had a room in our house that we know is the baby room, and for the last two years it has just collected junk, and I would much rather put it to better use!

I am looking forward to Christmas.  This will be DH and I's seventh Christmas.  I stopped putting up decorations a long time ago...I agree with PP about wanting Christmas to be fun again and seeing it through a child's eyes. 

2.  What baby gear item are you most looking forward to purchasing/getting? 

I have a crib and changing table/dresser that we purchased with our only pregnancy.  That was our one and only purchase.  Even though the pregnancy lasted 17 weeks, the last seven were so rocky that we didn't purchase anything else.   I am really excited to actually decorate the room that has only served as a painful reminder of what could have been.  If we hadn't spent so much money on that dang furniture, I would have sold it long ago.
Me: 28; DH: 35 1/2008 -- Started TTC
3/2009 -- FD discovered at 17 weeks
1/2011 -- Lap and HSG reveal Stage IV Endo and both tubes blocked.
4/2012 -- Consult with RE for IVF#1 -- All bloodwork and SA are normal -- Repeat HSG - SURPRISE! Both tubes are open.
May, June, August 2012 -- IUI#1-3 -- Letrozole + Bravelle + Ovidrel trigger = BFN
9/2012 -- Lap#2 to remove endo and Hysteroscopy

IVF#1 (Long Lupron) -- 12/6 ER - 20R 11F * 12/11 ET - Transferred 2 excellent blasts *

2. Baby gear I can't wait to get would have to be the moby wrap. I had a woman come to a party 3 years ago with one and I loved it. I've wanted one ever since!

Trying for a baby since 4/10
DX: Infertile 6/11 Me: LPD, all other blood work clear. May/ 2013 Egg maturity and quality issues.. DH: low sperm motility,low count.
Met with RE start clomid + TI + IUI 5/12= IUI cancelled due to positive Cystic Fibrosis carrier test. DH tested Neg. for Cystic Fibrosis,
6/12 Clomid + TI +IUI=BFN 8/10 IVF consult.
IVF #1 Started BCP 9/2 Lupron 10/11 stims 10/27 ER 11/6!! 5 eggs retreived only 1 mature. FERT report shows none made it.Cancelled cycle.
IVF #2 BCP 11/18 Lupron 12/14
Stims start 12/29 ER 1/8 ET 1/11 put in 1 grade B and 1 grade C. Beta: 1/20=BFN
Second opinion at new clinic TBD
decided to stick with old clinic with new plan.
5/3 started metformin for IVF # 3 set to start in July!!!

I want to have the magic of Christmas again and having a child will definitely do that. From santa, decorating the house, choosing a tree, baking, elf on a shelf, etc. I just know that time of year will be so fun with a baby/child. Halloween because I love the costumes and trick or treating and all the fall activities.

2.  What baby gear item are you most looking forward to purchasing/getting? This is a tough one because I've been looking forward to getting a lot of different baby gear forever now. I would probably have to say the stroller. I like the other PP really like the Uppa Baby Vista and I know it's super expensive but I might just have to splurge after all the crap I've been through with IF!

1.  What holiday/time of year are you most looking forward to when you have a baby?

2.  What baby gear item are you most looking forward to purchasing/getting? 

1. Halloween! It's DH's birthday as well and I always planned to dress our baby(ies) up as a cake or candle or present (you get the drift Big Smile)

2. Clothes and shoes! I go nuts for baby clothes and shoes. I particularly love baby swim gear like the teeny bikinis.

7/12-9/12: IUIs #1-#3 = BFN
11/12: IVF #1 - Transferred 2 blasts (1 frozen) = BFP!

When they are young, Halloween - you can put them in the freakin' cutest costumes.  Plus, once they "get it" - i.e., put out your little pumpkin & you'll get candy - so cute.  Once they are older, I'd say Christmas.  Nothing like waking up Christmas morning in anticipation of the fun to come!

2. What baby gear item are you most looking forward to purchasing/getting?

Clothes!!!!  I love baby clothing & have held off on buying anything (although I totally over buy for my niece, nephew & friends' kids). I am also a bargain shopper, so it'll be fun to see what I can find for a good deal =)
My TTC Journey:
Dx: Hypothalamic amenorrhea
Progesterone to induce period w/ the goal of Clomid - never got period (September 2011). RE referral.
Femera - never responded to the meds (December 2011)
Clomid with TI - BFN (February 2012)
Injectables (Menopur) - hyperstimulated/canceled (March 2012)
Injectables #2 (Menopur) with TI- BFN (May 2012)
IVF - OHSS (transfer canceled), but 11 frozen! (June 1012)
FET - 1 transferred on 8/09/12. Beta#1 (11dp5dt): 350.3; Beta#2: 365; Beta#3: 157. Biochemical pregnancy.
FET # 2 - 1 transferred on 11/01/12. Beta#1 (11dp5dt): 337; Beta#2: 769. BFP!!! 1st ultrasound 11/28/12 showed heartbeat, but measuring 5 days behind. 2nd ultrasound 12/05/12 - miscarriage.
FET # 3 - 1 transferred on 1/24/13. Beta#1 (11dp5dt): BFN.
FET # 4 - 2 transferred on 3/28/13. Beta #1 (11dp5dt): 673; Beta #2: 1265. Just under 6 weeks - m/c at home. WTF appointment in late May.

TTC since 2006 3 Fertility Clinics Test, Pills & Injectables....oh my. Numerous failed IUI's 7 or 8 or more? IVF #1 June 2012 ~ praying this is the only one ER 6/13/12 - 13 ret, 7 fertilized, 7 progressing, ET 6/15/12, BFN & No freeze babies. Onto IVF #2 in October 2012. No, wait, body not cooperating. IVF #2 in November 2012 IVF #2 Began Provera in Sept to make me start. Never started. I O'd on my own??? 2 weeks of BCPs. Period. Baseline & Labs 10/25 Stims started 10/26 ~ 225 Follistim in the am. 150 Bravelle & 5 Lupron in pm. Trigger 11/4, ER 11/6, ET 11/9 - 2 great embies. 3 Freezebabies. Beta 11/23/2012 BFN. Now what??? I don't know if I can keep going?
