WCM help?

DS will be a year on the 21st of this month and aside from the birthday party stress and planning our move out of state, I am worried our LO won't transition well.

 Here's our situation:

DS still eats mushy rice cereal with purees mixed into it, as well as the purees separately. He is beginning to eat solids when DH and I eat them, but is VERY picky about what he eats. DH and I both work a lot so we rarely cook a "well rounded meal" every night. We rarely cook at all, honestly. So we have kept up with the cereal feeding.

My question: If we are to keep feeding him cereal until he is more used to solids/table food/etc, do I start replacing the formula with WCM? Or continue with formula until he's completely on solids?

Note: He stopped taking bottles during the day at about 8months old. He only drinks from one if it's super late at night and he wont sit still, OR if he wakes up at 3 or 4am. 

Because of his bottle rejection, how do I go about introducing WCM if I don't replace it in his cereal?

You can give WCM in a sippy cup. I am a little confused I think is he getting formula from a cup now since he won't take a bottle? Not just in the cereal right? For the other part, I think babies should be getting a pretty well balanced diet of solids before they transition to WCM, so you might want to wait. But I am not totally sure.

Oh, sorry, guess I forgot that part. He won't take anything other than water or juice from a sippy. He tosses it if I try formula. And like I said, he only takes a bottle in the middle of the night. So the only formula he gets, not counting the late night bottles, is in the cereal.
