sheets for c.hicco play yard

Hello Everyone, I hope you are having a great weekend!

We are putting together all of our baby gear this weekend and we got the play yard up a bit ago.  It is the c.hicco magic play yard and it is really nice and was pretty easy to put up.  We got it primarily for baby to sleep in our room during the first weeks so we put in the bassinet feature.  I had also received one c.arters velour play yard sheet and there was no way it was fitting on the mattress pad thing.  I'm not sure if all c.hicco playyards are like this or if it is just the magic one since one of it's selling points is that it has the largest mattress.  My question is has anyone found sheets to fit this particular model? Also are the sheets really necessary? I have some waterproof wool "multi purpose" pads I could get in there pretty snug but I am worried about anything that would pose a SIDS risk.

Any and all advice is appreciated...thanks a ton!

I have found that the Eddie Bauer ones from Target fit very well. I think I also got a circo brand one from target that fit well too.

I bought kidsline portacrib jersey sheets from amazon (based on a few recommendations on this board).  I have the Chicco Magic and they fit great on the corners and tuck in well on the long parts of the mattress.  They do not tuck as far under on the short sides, but they are so well tucked in the corners and the long side I think they will work well.  They're also super soft.

I think you need a sheet if the baby is going to be sleeping in there. We bought a Graco one and it fits fine.
