Pregnant with 2nd baby.

Hi Ladies,

My DH and I just found out that we are pregnant with our second child.  We are really excited, but I am a little scared.  Even though I have been through this before, I can't remember if I had pelvic pain in the beginning of the first trimester.  My pelvic and hips have been hurting off and on, but even more now this evening.  It hasn't hurt all day though.  I hear that it is just your uterus stretching to make room for baby.  I feel crampy though.  Is this normal because I can't remember if I felt this way before with my last pregnancy.  I know every pregnancy is different.  Any advice is much appreciated.  Thank you.

We are almost 11 weeks along with our second as well. Definitely excited but just as nervous as I was with our first. Both times around I have experienced pelvic pain and I was a little crampy. All part of being pregnant. I thought I would be more relaxed this time around but NOPE.

Married my BEST FRIEND on December 1, 2007. Started TTC in March 2008. Found out we were expecting our first child in October 2008 - but had a m/c in December 2008 - resulting in a d&e. Met with a RE in May 2009 and set a plan - but conceived unexpectedly on our own! Our precious little Sophia was born on February 9, 2010! Lilypie Third Birthday tickers

Thanks for responding.  I feel the very same way.  I thought that I would be calmer, but I am not.  I wish that I would just have more faith.  Pray to God is what my mom says and His will will be done.  This is actually my third pregnancy.  My first pregnancy ended in miscarriage.  I was devastated and I don't want it to happen again.  So everytime I feel pain for awhile, I start thinking that it is going to end in miscarriage.  So I am glad to hear that you experienced pelvic pain and cramping too.  So I just need to relax and think positive thoughts.  Thanks again.  : )

Our first pregnancy ended in miscarriage too. So I definitely know exactly what you are going through. I started having a little brown discharge today and I went in panic mode and contacted my midwife. She said as long as it isn't "fresh" red blood, and no cramping to RELAX. But my mind constantly goes back to our first pregnancy. ((hugs)) Just have to keep positive for that little one growing away! And definitely put your trust in God!

Congratulations!

I was very crampy in the first month or so of being pregnant and I was constantly worried. Definitely share any concerns you have with your doctor! Best of luck!

I have found that the cramping has gotten worse (more intense, more frequent, lasting longer) with each pregnancy. As long as it's not excruciating or accompanied by bleeding, I think it's all normal.
