I used a form on paper that my dr. provided me within a packet I received at the hospital for the first 2 weeks then I downloaded a free app called Feed Baby that tracks feedings: amounts, time started & stopped feeding, and time in between. It also allows you to track pumping sessions as well as growth measurements (I didn't track growth with it). The app would alert you when it had been a certain amount of time since you last fed or pumped. It very much helped me in the beginning and when he had his 1 and 2 week check ups, I could answer their questions more efficiently.. or when I had some trouble breastfeeding, I could give the lactation a better understanding of how things were going. I stopped using it however when he was about 4 or 5 weeks old... I felt comfortable enough to wing it a little bit and just keep an eye on the clock. ;)
