Based on your costs and the anesthesia company, are you at CC.RM? (if not, you can ignore most of my post) I am as well, with Dr. Su.rrey. If so, the IVF consult was fairly basic. The RE will go over your past medicated cycles to see if you learned anything, what your chances for IVF probably are, whether he'd initially recommend transferring 1 or 2 embies, etc., and then answer any questions you have.
After the consult, you'll have to schedule the one day workup (ODWU), where you'll have a 1 hour IVF presentation from the nurses, any other testing your RE may recommend (for us it was a sperm chromatin test and hysteroscopy), do your b/w for STD testing, have a meeting with your IVF nurse, meeting with the office admin re costs, meeting with the embryology lab for consent stuff, and at the end of the day, another regroup with your RE. It really does take up almost a whole day. For us, we basically had to take a break month to do the ODWU and wait for your results. They say they won't give you an IVF calendar until all your results are back, but they gave me a tentative calendar with my specific protocol at the end of the ODWU.
If you have any other CC.RM questions, feel free to pm me! Good luck!
