cramping/contractions?

DH and I went out of town shopping Saturday for last minute baby stuff and some Christmas stuff. I lasted about 3 hours before I started getting hot and really crampy. At first it was just like BH and some period type cramping, but after awhile it got more intense. I had gone outside and sat down where it was cooler and we walked back to the car when I felt a little better. We decided it was best to start the drive home 90 min away. Once we got home I sat down with my feet up for a couple hours and relaxed. Then DH wanted to go for supper and to Menards quick to pick up something we had ordered. During supper I started to get the period like cramps again. While at Menards I was getting BH and told DH we needed to go so I could lay down. I started getting a stabbing like pain in my sides and more intense tightening in the stomach. Like BH, but maybe a contraction??? Being a FTM I don't know what to think. Once I got home I crawled into bed and the cramping slowed and eventually stopped. Yesterday, we had family over helping us put in new doors. I sat in a chair pretty much the whole time and watched them work. So I didn't do a whole lot. I was having the cramping again off and on though. Now today I have been having period like cramping again. I have a dr appt on Wed, but I am wondering if I need to call or what I should do. Sorry for the crappy format...I am on my phone. TIA for suggestions and help!

I'm having the same thing, I believe they're BH. Probably exacerbated by being slightly dehydrated. We just got back from a long drive to MN for a family emergency and my feet/ankles/calves were swollen like balloons! I haven't called the doctor yet, my husband is a surgical nurse and he's not too concerned. I've had no other labor symptoms. They are certainly uncomfortable and not fun. I also think I'm having pains from the baby moving down. I've been forcing water, taking very short walks and laying down or putting my feet up. Hope that helps, I think we're just gearing up for the big day :).

Had this last night. Ouch. My sharp pains were more central than on the sides but were for sure painful!! I rested and slept. Only bh today so far. I'm upping my water and trying to walk and sit at shorter intervals to keep blood flow going strong!

We can't wait to meet baby Mason!

Good to know that I am not alone I guess! It seems to get worse for me at night. I have been drinking more water hoping that it will help too...We will see I guess!
