Belly Bandit?? (STMs)

Hi Ladies! I was thinking about getting a Belly Bandit (or something similar) for postpartum use.  Has anyone used one before?  Did it help?

Thanks!

I am a FTM also but am definitely getting one.  My cousin swore by it and the way I look at it is that it is worth a shot.

Totally just threw one on my registry, worth it if it helps me lose the weight!

I bought one last time and it was definitely worth it. I didn't know what size to order so I got a Medium. When I first got home I couldn't velcro it (C section & fluid retention I think) so I wore more of an elasticy girdle thing which helped out first and then I was able to wear the belly bandit after about a week. It ended up being to big on me after a couple weeks. Totally worth the money.

I wore one with DD to help with a c-section. I ended up getting the bamboo one since bamboo is naturally antimicrobial. I am getting another one for this pregnancy. I would invest in the 2 for deals. Get pone that will fit you directly PP and for a few weeks after, then the size down. That way you can wear it for the first 2-3 months and really benefit from it.

I had one and gave birth at the end of July in Arizona.  Even though I got the breathable bamboo one it was just TOO HOT.  I could not handle it.  It also didn't fit me right away even though the sales lady swore I would be a medium.  I ended up wearing a pair of granny panty type Spanx.  They were much more breathable.  I honestly don't know if I'll even try it this time around or just sell it on Craigslist for a few bucks.

Edit: to correct when I gave birth.  Duh.

I bought mine after my c/s and I returned it. I hated that thing. It was so uncomfortable!

I loved mine when after my csection! Not only did it help me lose the weight, but it felt really good to have my belly supported. It took a few days to get use to, but once I did it was awesome!

I used one after both pregnancies.  I always got complimented on how flat my stomach looked so quickly and fit into my pre-baby pants by the time I went back to work at 8 weeks (after gaining 50# each time and obviously they were a little snug).

You do "crackle" just a bit from the big velcro strip and you'll have to adjust it when you stand up from sitting.  I prefer for others to not know about it so that was always a little awkward trying to cover it (but I'm super private sometimes)!

They're expensive, but I figured it was the price of 1 or 2 pairs of pants or jeans and if I could wear my old ones, it'd pay for itself!
