How do you pronouce this baby name?

Iona?

I saw it recently given to a friends baby and have no idea how to pronounce it.

I would probably ask the parents....it seems it could be either "eye-onah" or EE-ona. I would tend to say "Eye-Onah if I had to guess"

Iris Wilhelmina is healthy and perfect and beautiful!

It's the name of a small community (wouldn't even call it a town, really) near where I'm from, and it is definitely Eye-own-ah. I can't get past the community association, so it's nms for a name.

I worked with one who was (I believe) Romanian. She pronounced it "Yana" (well, not quite, but close to that)
