It's pronounced may-vv (rhymes with pave or save)

I like it.  I think it's a great name.

I know a Maeve (first name) and it is quite nice. Different, not mainstream, but not so out there that it would immediately get questioned. Especially if you are just thinking of a middle name, I wouldn't see an issue at all.
