DH has a cousin named Eunice. I think she's in her 20s. It's a pretty name, but not something I'd use. I wouldn't side-eye it though.

I actually kind of like it.  There were a couple of girls named Eunice who I went to college with, and they wore it well.  (I think it was the Americanized version of the Korean name Eunsei.)

I love older names, my son is being named James, but I'm afraid Eunice is a bit of a stretch. Please keep in mind when she starts school, kids are vicious these days, they will find any reason to pick on a kid, and I fear Eunice is not going to help her. I'm not saying that you should go with a trendy name that's popular now, but something that's not going to encourage teasing. I'm sorry I hate to put down someone's name choice, but I'm afraid she's not going to appreciate it when she's older. Good luck!

I couldn't do it if it were my daughter.  It's an old lady name that hasn't made the crossover to modern popularity like others have.  Although it does have a positive connotation to Eunice Kennedy Shriver, I still don't think I could do it.  I would use it as a middle name if it was to honor a loved one.
