Anyone else frustrated by the naming process?

Since we found out we're having a girl I can think of at least a dozen names we " liked". Currently I HATE them all. I'm so frustrated!! I know I have time ( I'm 21 weeks), but still!

Some of the names we used to like

Scarlett

Juliet

Jade

Adriana

Emily

Emma

This was me with my first. As soon as I found out she was a girl, I hated all of the names on our list.

We have the same problem - as soon as I think I've decided, then I'm not thrilled anymore...and at almost 30 weeks w/ twin girls, I'm running out of time!

I like Emily - classic, popular enough but not overdone and Juliet - pretty w/ good nn choices. I'd worry about Scarlet bc what might nn be?

That is my exact concern about Scarlett. I can't see someone calling my daughter " Scar". Alone it's a beautiful name, but lets be honest people shorten names no matter if you like it or not.

I'm much more nonchalant about the naming process this time around but with DD I was constantly stressing out about it! Over analyzing every name we came upon, FI and I could never agree, the 2 we did agree on I eventually nixed for one reason or another, we also found out we were having a girl and that's what made it hard. Our boy name is a piece of cake but as for a girl name... not so easy.

DD ended up being named a name that I didn't even like, and FI added it to our list days before she was born. She wasn't named until she was born.

I like the name Emma. Its very pretty, but its very popular as well.

I don't like Emily. Every other girl in my high school growing up was an Emily.

Have you thought about the name Charlotte. It was on our list though we choose the name Piper Joyce as our finally pick.

Good Luck.

I'm with you I don't Love anything and second guessing all my likes :( My list was:

Emily, Elizabeth, Camille, Lillian and Annabelle

Were leaning more towards Annabelle-NN to be decided when we meet her to see whether Anna or Belle fits more :)

Good luck I've decided to just go with the flow and hope it "pops" in my head :)

I felt just like you. I hated every name until one day I stopped putting so much pressure on finding "the" name. I just needed one that both DH & I really liked and suddenly it just worked and Eloise was named!

On your list I love Emily
