Sharksfan - Non-Story in Here

Saw your request to hear the story of Joey Pterodactyl :)

There isn't really much of one. DH and I were so far apart on names it was funny.  And he refused to talk about them because he was over us both saying "No" immediately to anything the other person suggested.  It got to where I'd bring up the subject and he would only give out ideas like Hercules, Frying Pan, Bilbo Baggins, etc.  One day I brought it up and he suggested Pterodactyl and I hit the roof. I announced that I was done and that that was our son's name and I wasn't talking about it anymore.

So for the 2nd half of the pregnancy, there was pretty much no name discussion and he was just Baby Pterodactyl.  When he was born, it seemed to suit him so much that we didn't want to take it away.  We figured giving him something boring and solid like Joseph for a first name still gave him some options if he hates his MN.  I still have relatives who claim I'm lying and some have demanded to see his birth certificate but he's a HUGE hit with the preschool crowd at the playground :)

I bursted out laughing over Bilbo Baggins! I could never tell DH about your son's MN....he won't let go of "Waitforit" so if he knew someone got Pterodactyl sp im sure is wrong! He would definitely think hed get Waitforit.
I give you major credit OP! Im even not sure Im ballsy enough to name a 3rd son the full name of the original GI Joe which I had joked to DH about before we started considering 3 kids instead of just 2 DH is a serious GI Joe fan.

This is awesome!

I've always told DH that if we have boys their MNs will be Danger and Adventure. If my dad hadn't passed away, we'd be using Isaac Adventure for a boy, but now I'm considering Velicoraptor. JK :)

DH has already suggested Veronica Velociraptor if we have a girl some day :)

My brother is now thrilled that my mom can't complain about his desire to give his hypothetical child "Godzilla" as a MN.

And most of the time we call him Jojo.  My extended family calls him Joey Pterodactyl or Baby Pterodactyl.
