With my first I didn't need maternity clothing until about 16-17 weeks or so. This time around I started around week 8.

Married my BEST FRIEND on December 1, 2007. Started TTC in March 2008. Found out we were expecting our first child in October 2008 - but had a m/c in December 2008 - resulting in a d&e. Met with a RE in May 2009 and set a plan - but conceived unexpectedly on our own! Our precious little Sophia was born on February 9, 2010! Lilypie Third Birthday tickers

I've been doing the sweats and yoga pants too lol, oh and bella band for my jeans but yoga pants still feel more comfortable. The new maternity clothes I ordered online should arrive this week and then I'm totally making the switch over right away!

With DS I started wearing maternity clothes around 16-18 weeks.  My clothes are a bit tight now (I'm very bloated), but I'm going to wear my Bella Band before jumping back into my maternity clothes.

The first time around the maternity clothes seem kinda exciting.  Try not to go to them any sooner than you have to, you will be so sick of the same few pairs of pants and shirts by the end that you will want to burn them!

Invest in a belly band and a belly belt. I didn't start wearing maternity pants until 17-18 weeks.

There are some maternity pants and jeans that aren't full panel. Mine for my first pregnancy was those and soo comfortable!! They were like cute elastic wast pants. I got them online at old navy.

I think I started wearing a belly band around 15 weeks with DD. No maternity clothes until after 22w.

I'll be 9w tomorrow with my second and I'm bloated, but the bloat is higher than the rise of my pants, so I'm not having any issues. I kind of hate maternity clothes and hope I don't have to wear them until 20w again.

You can start wearing clothes now, but keep in mind your bloat could go down (making your regular clothes fine) and then you could gain weight (making the maternity clothes not fit) and you'd have to buy more maternity.  Definitely start with a belly band and\or, depending on the type of clothes you wear normally, some good maternity leggings, since they'll stretch both with the pregnancy and if you gain weight.  Personally I wear almost nothing but leggings as soon as it's cool enough until it's so hot out I can't stand it, since they're so comfy and can go under pretty much anything.  I'm going to wait a long time before telling everybody, so I'm glad my normal leggings-and-tunics ensemble will work!
