Labor signs??

I've had severe tailbone pain for two days now. I haven't had any contractions at all and I haven't lost my mucus plug. Does this sound like labor symtoms? I'm 38 weeks and my doc thinks the baby could come early.

i'd just say it's baby dropping or 'sitting' on your pelvis. could be a pinched nerve, or just low pressure. 

check with your Dr when you go next - they may start internals soon

I had this from about 28 weeks - 35 weeks. And now its gone away. I think its to do with how you sit and what baby is resting against. Where your centre of gravity is.
