IVF January

Well, after my Nov IVF got cancelled due to my insurance denying it for not have 6 failed IUI with injectibles (actual IUI's, not cancelled due to no stims or overstim like the 12 I have) we decided to push back to January when my new insurance kicks in and hopefully they will not deny it (different carrier and it is supposed to be easier to work with).  I am disappointed we have to wait and frustrated with the insurance but I agree with the drs decision that IUI is too risky with me as I have so many resting follicles am very high risk for high order multiples if we get me to stim.  So it's BC this month and aim for a mid Jan start date.

My TTC Story:
Me: 38,DH: 46, Married 10/07/2011, TTC since 09/2011, 03/2012 Started Clomid, 04/2012 Clomid, 05/2012 Clomid, 06/2012 Went to RE, he found a plum size fibroid in uterus, husband has low sperm count, 06/06/2012 Removed fibroid, 08/2012 Hysteroscopy, 09/27/2012 started IVF meds, 10/10/2012 Retrieved 8 eggs, 5 fertilized, 10/13/2012 Transferred 3 eggs - 8, 5, and 4 cells, 10/26/2012 BFP!! Beta: 11, 10/26/12 Beta: 2 = Chemical Pregancy

Our journey so far:
7/09: BFP m/c 6w s/e/p, 2 rounds methotrexate
4/10 BFP m/c 6w D&C..it was a boy :(
6/10-2/11 TTC naturally, BFNs
3/11: Clomid cycle, BFN
4/11-9/11 TTC naturally, BFNs
10/11 IUI #1 BFN
Have to breathe over next few months.
Feb 2012: IVF #1, max stims, only 3 retrieved, all fertilized, only 1 transferred on Day 3. BFN.
RE says move to DE. DE it is.
DE IVF #1 - 10/29: 12 eggs retrieved, 10 fert. 11/2: Day5 transfer 2 'perfect' blasts. 4 blasts on ice. 11/11: Beta #1 at 9dp5dt = 72.7 11/13: Beta #2 at 11dp5dt: 30.3 c/p :( WTF appt 11/27: RE a little dumbfounded. Checking Thyroid panel again, Hysterogram as well; FET most likely in Jan. '13.have reconsidered a parallel path of adoption.

I was pissed I got pushed back to January too, but it is probably the best time to be pushed back I think because of the holidays. I think it will make time pass by faster!
Anniversary
Infertility blog
Trying for a baby since 4/10
DX: Infertile 6/11 Me: LPD, all other blood work clear. May/ 2013 Egg maturity and quality issues.. DH: low sperm motility,low count.
Met with RE start clomid + TI + IUI 5/12= IUI cancelled due to positive Cystic Fibrosis carrier test. DH tested Neg. for Cystic Fibrosis,
6/12 Clomid + TI +IUI=BFN 8/10 IVF consult.
IVF #1 Started BCP 9/2 Lupron 10/11 stims 10/27 ER 11/6!! 5 eggs retreived only 1 mature. FERT report shows none made it.Cancelled cycle.
IVF #2 BCP 11/18 Lupron 12/14
Stims start 12/29 ER 1/8 ET 1/11 put in 1 grade B and 1 grade C. Beta: 1/20=BFN
Second opinion at new clinic TBD
decided to stick with old clinic with new plan.
5/3 started metformin for IVF # 3 set to start in July!!!

TTC #1 12/2009 BFP #1 1/2010, M/C 6 weeks;
BFP #2 6/2010, DD lost to congenital heart disease, we are heartbroken.
TTC #2 4/2011, Diagnosed MTHFR homo, FVL hetero; Four natural cycles BFN;
8/2011 Hysteroscopy, small septum; Acupuncture; Clomid IUI BFN; Follistim IUI BFN;
1/2012 IVF #1 BFN; 4/2012 FET BFP #3!
5/2012 7w1d u/s: anembryonic demise; M/C @8w.
Laparoscopy 6/2012 found Stage II/III endo, removed w/ laser.
8/2012 IVF #2 epic fail: no viable embryos.
Vacation, break, second opinions, new RE.
1/2013 Surprise chemical pregnancy (break cycle), IVF#3 postponed
2/2013 TI w/ hormonal support, prednisone, aspirin, Lovenox, acupuncture
gave us a miracle BFP!

I was pushed to January as well. You are right, with the holidays coming up, you will be sooo busy, it will be here before you know it and on the bright side, you can celebrate the holidays and bring in the new year with your choice of beverage :)

Sorry to hear that you got pushed back, but wanted to say hi from another planned January cycler.  It will be here before we know it ...

Personally, I go for my orientation on 12/13 and will get my start date and meds then.  Good luck to all -- I'm looking forward to starting an official January group! 
Me = 37, PCOS DH = 43, low-ish morphology
IUI #1 (Clomid), 3/11 = BFN
IUI #2 (Femara), 7/11 = BFN
IUI #2 (Femara), 8/11 = BFN
IVF (w/ISCI) #1 in April 2012. 9R, 6F. 3-day transfer of one 8 and one 6 cell. None to freeze. BFN
Planning for IVF #2 in January 2013.

TTC since April 2008 me- Everything looks good DH- diagnosed Azoo during cancer diagnosis 2010 --Finally chose to use a donor 2012 First IUI August 2012 (clomid and Ovidrel)-BFN Second IUI September 2012 same protocol-BFN Third IUI October 2012 higher clomid dose, Ovidrel-BFN IVF #1- Started stims 01/21/2013, Antaganist protocal ER 02/04/2012. FET 3/13/2012- Transferred a B and C grade embryos.. BFP! +HPT 3/19! Beta #1, 3/22=142! Beta #2, 3/24=351! 1st Ultrasound; 4/1= gestational and yolk sac 2nd Ultrasound; 4/11= heartbeat at 126 bpm, looks good! 3rd Ultrasound; 4/21= Heartbeat at 162. released to OB! BabyFetus Ticker
